Utility vehicle maker of our own home country Mahindra and Mahindra launched its newest automobile- Marazzo on Monday
The robust SUV is priced at a justified ₹9.99 lac – ₹13.90 lac (Ex-showroom Delhi)
Marazzo sits just below its existing top-of-the-line offering XUV5OO that is priced between ₹12.48-19.19 lakh.
“The journey of the Scorpio began from our factory in Nashik and it has become an iconic product. I hope ten years from now we would be able to say the same about the Marazzo as well.”
-Pawan Goenka, managing director, Mahindra and Mahindra
Mahindra’s Marazzo would be competing with Maruti Suzuki’s Ertiga on starting point and Toyota’s Innova towards the higher end. Marazzo means Shark in Basque, a sub language of Spanish. The tag line of the automobile also goes “Silent as a shark”. It comes loaded with a 1.5 liter diesel engine and four variants. Marazzo’s USP is the fact that it makes negligible noise. The company confirmed that it will be coming out with a petrol version for the same make in 2020, when the new emission norms kick in.
It is a product of collaborative design by Italian design house Pininfarina and Mahindra Design Center. Mahindra has spent a total of $200 million to develop the product.
Next on line from Mahindra and Mahindra is a new SUV that is based on its Korean subsidiary Ssangyong’s SUV, the Rexton.
Currently, Marazzo has been winning hearts all over. Automobile enthusiasts of the country have all come together to analyse the make of the new car. Stay tuned to be updated.
