Apart from being a class-A politician and the coolest one out there, he was also a poet. His health was failing but the words penned just kept going strong. About his poetry, he wrote:
“My poetry is a declaration of war, not an exordium to defeat. It is not the defeated soldier’s drumbeat of despair, but the fighting warrior’s will to win. It is not the dispirited voice of dejection but the stirring shout of victory.”
Dear Mr former Prime Minister, your breath may have left your body, but you live on strong in our mind and hearts. Rest in Peace.
